SHIPPING

We ship within the US using Priority Mail from the US Post Office. We charge you the minimum price for a padded, flat rate bag and we cover any shipping cost beyond that ourselves. So, even if you buy a boatload of yarn, you still only pay the same shipping amount you would pay for a single ball of yarn.

Regarding International shipping: For many years, we shipped worldwide daily. I would be happy to continue that; but, the cost of international shipping from the US has become so absurdly high that I have a hard time suggesting it as an option for my international friends - I’d rather see you source yarn economically within your homeland. But, I know that is not an option for everyone. So, if you send me a message through the contact page, including both what you’d like shipped and where you live, I’ll be happy to send you the shipping options from the US Post Office. If you want to proceed, I can send you a custom invoice and you will only be charged for the actual international shipping cost to your address, nothing more. Or, you can visit this page on USPS.com to input your info and see all the details yourself. Don’t hesitate with any questions!

YARN PACK vs KIT

We sell patterns for my designs as downloadable PDFs and we sell the yarns I’ve used for (most of) my designs, but we sell them separately - we do not package them as “knitting kits”, which force you to buy the pattern and the yarn together. While you might be accustomed to getting your knitting projects as kits, there are a few really great reasons why getting the pattern and its coordinating yarn pack separately is so much better than getting everything in one shot, as a knitting kit:

- You can peruse the pattern first, before spending on the yarn, to see if it’s a good match for your skill level.

- If you end up loving your project and want to knit it again, you can get just the required yarn without having to spend for the pattern yet again.

- Some of my designs use many different colors and it can be quite the scavenger hunt to find all of those colors among your local yarn shops, or even through other online stores. So, while I’m happy that my separately-sold PDFs can also benefit other yarn shops, it’s helpful to many that I offer all of the colors necessary for my designs together here, as yarn packs. Plus, you’ll know you’re getting exactly what is shown in my photos.

- And remember, I’m always open to requests for alternate colors. While I don’t stock every single Spindrift color, I often have a great many of them in stock. So, feel free to contact me for your heart’s desire and I’ll be happy to let you know what we can do for you

YARN a la carte

Since the main purpose of this site is to sell my designs, things are set up to sell full yarn packs, not individual balls. But…boy, do I know…sometimes, Life gets in the way and we end up needing an extra ball or two…or ten. Or, maybe you love 90% of the colors in a design, but would be oh-so-much-happier if I would only substitute a shade or two, just for you. I’d be happy to!
