GAUGE: Youth (Avg Adult, Lg Adult) = 13 (12, 11) sts over 4” / 10cm

NEEDLES: Youth (Avg Adult, Lg Adult) = US 10 1/2 / 6.5mm, US 11 / 8mm, US 13 / 9mm.

YARN: Originals were knit using 3 100g balls, 1 in each of 3 colors, of Dale Hubro super bulky yarn which has since been discontinued. For the adult hats, use any super bulky yarns that can be knit to the given gauges; for the youth hats, use either a super bulky yarn that can be compressed down to the smaller gauge (extra warm!) or a regular bulky yarn.
