Circularly knit, Fair Isle technique scarf. Finished measurements, as shown:
Width = 8¼” / 21cm Length = 82” / 208cm
GAUGE: 30 sts x 30 rows = 4” / 10cm in stranded stockinette stitch
NEEDLES: If you knit loosely, try one 40”/100cm long* circular needle in US #4 / 3.50 (for closed cast-on and three-needle bind-off only) and one 40”/100cm long* circular needle in US #2 / 3.00 (for main portion of scarf). If you knit tightly, try one 40”/100cm long* circular needle in US #5 / 3.75 (for closed cast-on and three-needle bind-off only) and one 40”/100cm long* circular needle in US #3 / 3.25 (for main portion of scarf).
YARN: Sample used five 50g balls of Dale Eco Baby Wool + five 50g balls of Dale Alpakka - two of the Dale Garn yarns no longer available in the US. However, you can achieve wonderful results with approximately 750 to 800 yds / 685 to 730 m of each of any two favorite light sport weight to fingering weight yarns.
