Ladies’ Fair Isle technique hat with corrugated ribbing and stranded stockinette stitch. Hat’s finished circumference = 21” / 53cm, sized to fit the average adult female head, when knit to gauge. Suitable for intermediate knitters familiar with Fair Isle knitting and working from charts.

GAUGE: 32 sts and 36 rows = 4” / 10cm in stranded stockinette stitch with larger needles.

NEEDLES: If you knit loosely, try US size 1½ / 2.5mm for the trim and US size 2 / 2.75mm for the main sections. If you knit tightly, try US size 2 / 2.75mm for the trim and US size 2½ / 3.0mm for the main section.

YARN: Nine different colors of Jamieson’s of Shetland “Spindrift” 100% Shetland wool yarn were used in the sample. The yarn pack comes with full 25g balls of each of the nine colors.
